 What’s nearby?

Tsinandali Estate is the cradle of classical winemaking of Georgia, the place where Georgian wine was first bottled. In the winery, you can view Prince Chavchavadze’s remarkable wine collection of 16,500 bottles including the oldest wine in Georgia. The vineyards have been restored and wine production has resumed with excellent results.

The Chavchavadze Palace in Tsinandali was built in 1886 and is now a museum. Inside are the preserved personal belongings of Chavchavadze family members including Georgian, Russian and French furniture plus various household items from the 18th and 19th centuries.

The surrounding park covers 18 hectares and the Tsinandali decorative garden is considered to be one of the few remaining examples of early 19th Century landscape design. Here visitors can see not only local species of trees and shrubs but also exotic plants from the Mediterranean, China, America and Japan.

The hotel makes a good base to visit the surrounding wineries of Kakheti and the region’s capital of Telavi. Tbilisi is two hour’s drive away with the sister hotel, the Radisson Blu Iveria, a comfortable base to explore the city.

More than just a hotel, the Radisson Collection Tsinandali Estate is a destination in its own right. Enjoy wine tastings in the hotel’s own winery, visit the historic house and gardens of Prince Chavchavadze or just relax in the rooftop infinity pool gazing at the Caucasus Mountains, sipping a cocktail.
